Khan really is a loving sociable dog with humans, he loves cuddles and belly rubs and will sit for treats.

He has lived with other dogs both in his previous adopted home and in foster but he will try to dominate other dogs so is best suited to being an only dog.

Shady's Album

Shady- Available for Adoption

Near Southampton.

Shady- approx. 2 years old, spayed female of medium/large sized & weighs approx. 25kgs.

Shady is a lovely lady who loves company and is learning to love the world around her. When she arrived she was very shy and nervous around most things but not at all aggressive in any way.

Shady has now really started to come out of her shell, she loves to play and run really fast but not for too long because then it’s time for a lovely long snooze!!

She is happiest sat back watching the world go by.

Shady is a big cuddle monster and loves nothing better than a neck rub and a good chat!!!

She is exceptionally tolerant of her puppy housemate and will play happily for ages with him in the mud.

She loves meeting new humans, especially children. She can be a little warier of men but just til properly introduced. She is quite reactive to other dogs from a distance until she sees how others around her react to them but this is really improving and she now walks well on the lead.. She is a little nervous of horses, but doesn’t bark at them, more of a polite respect!

She does seem quite keen to chase any cats she has come into contact with, so may be best in a home without small furries to be on the safe side.

She doesn’t know any commands yet but we’re working on that but is very gentle at taking treats from small hands and she’s learning about toys still.

Shady really is a super lovely girl that needs a fun home where there are lots of people to fuss over her.

  • Good with Children age 5 plus

  • No Cats or small furries

  • Can be homed as only dog or with resident dog/s

  • Crate trained

  • Can be left for a few hours

  • In Foster in Hampshire

Idris' Album

Idris- Adopted

Isle of Wight

Idris- Approx. 5 years old, neutered male, mixed breed, Medium sized. Approx. 20kgs.

What can we say about this dog.....he really is such a loving, friendly boy who would make a wonderful family dog with a littlr time and patience.

Currently in foster on the Isle of Wight, but can travel for a meet and greet to find the right home.

He's really coming along nicely and is now looking for his loving forever home.

Idris has been learning to walk on the lead and still needs time to excel at this as this is not something he is familiar with, He is fully house trained, Loves people, other dogs (currently living with male and female dogs and good with all of them) and is also good with dog savvy cats.

Can be left for a few hours without any issue. Not a mad foody and just eats what he wants, with no food aggression.

Idris is a cheeky chap who can be quite playful and would be suited to a home with another doggy pal to hang out with and teach him the ropes. Idris would be be a great addition to his new home.

Edna's' Album

Edna- Available for Adoption

Cheshire

Edna- approx. 2-3 years old, spayed female, mixed breed, A small medium size. Approx. 15kgs.

Edna is a little sweetheart. She looks like a brindle staffie cross with a long body & short legs.

Edna was rescued from a field in Romania with 9 puppies; 8 of which survived and have also travelled to the UK to be rehomed by a new leash for life rescue.

When Edna arrived in November 2021; she was very scared & timid but her confidence has really grown.

Edna is still a young dog herself despite being an amazing mum to her large litter of pups; she loves to play & zoom around with the 2 resident dogs.

Edna loves playing with soft toys & flinging them around. She regularly raids the toy box for bones, nylabones, antlers & toys.

Her favourite activity is sitting/lying in the garden on squirrel watch, she can happily spend a good part of the day amusing herself watching for wildlife.. She’d spend all day out there if allowed!

Resident dog Molly has had her in SAS training on guard duty on the windowsill waiting for the postman or a delivery driver.

At other times she enjoys sitting and watching the world go by.

Edna is now used to wearing a collar but if held by it or with a lead attached she will drop to the floor submissively. Probably related to being caught by the dog catchers. She’s wary when having a harness put on her but once it’s fastened she is fine with a lead attached.

Edna can be left alone for several hours & will snuggle down in her bed. At night she sleeps in her bed in the kitchen, only barking if she hears a noise outside.

Edna has not been child or cat tested but would be fine with children 8+. This girl loves life and it’s a joy to watch her in action.

  • Loves other dogs

  • Would like a home with a resident dog

  • Not Cat tested

  • Not child tested but ok with age 8+ as very friendly

  • Housetrained

  • Can be left for several hours

Henry's' Album

Henry- Available for Adoption

Bognor Regis, West Sussex

Henry- approx. 10 months old, neutered male, mixed breed, A medium size. Approx. 18kgs.

Henry is an intelligent boy, he learnt to sit and give paw in 2 days of having him, he’s quite a social dog wants to play with other dogs but never knows when to stop playing and you sometimes have to intervene so an equally playful resident dog maybe a great idea.

Henry is starting to understand commands like 'no' , 'down', 'sit' , 'paw', and responds well to 'good boy'. .

He loves his ears tickled and lots of belly rubs . Henry walks lovely on a lead but he is apprehensive of traffic and doesn’t like cars moving near him and traffic can make him jumpy. This is very common and easily worked on.

Henry does tend to bark at other dogs on walks and get a bit too excited, if another dog is walking by his fosterers tend to wait until that dog has gone passed as he doesn’t seem to calm down until the dog has gone, his noise is out of excitement and he wants to play with other dogs but his excitedness can look intimidating to other dog walkers.

He has been great with my children but we did notice he wasn’t so confident with small children and babies, he clearly doesn't feel as comfortable around them so he would need very strict supervision around small children.

When playing with his humans he does get excited and starts puppy mouthing and we are teaching him the 'No mouthing'.

He is mainly housetrained but does need to go out for frequent wee's as he hasn't learnt to quite hold on yet but is so very nearly there

Henry just wants a loving home with lots of cuddles, he loves snuggling up on your lap even though he barely fits bless him

  • He is not cat tested

  • Good with dogs

  • Good with older children age 12+

  • Walks well on the lead

  • Almost housetrained.

  • Will need ongoing training and an active home

  • In Foster in Bognor Regis, West Sussex

As already stated please only apply if you have thoroughly researched getting a rescue dog.

Beau's' Album

Beau- Adopted

Suffolk

Beau- approx. 2 years old, neutered male, mixed breed, A large size. Approx. 35kgs and from Greece.

Hi my name is Beau, aka Mr Beau Jangles, aka handsome boy , aka big boy, aka BFG

If you like big soppy love bugs then Beau is the dog for you.

He is currently living with two small 1 year old females whom he plays very gently with.

One of them bosses him around but he doesn't seem to mind, he bows out gracefully from any tiffs.

Like most rescues he does have a high prey drive so small furries would not be a good idea although foster mummy says he is a very quick learner, we doubt he could resist a good chase.

Beau adores going on walks and pushes his head into the harness to get ready to go, his foster mum has to use a halti slip lead on him to keep full control.

Beau is not not fazed by runners , cyclists , most traffic ( some big things going fast make me jump ) he can get very excited if he see's another dog..

Ongoing lead work is a must for enjoyable walks.

Beau really does love food but he doesn't tend get over protective and can have things taken away from him without complaining and wait patiently in line for a treat.

Beau enjoys playing with all his toys and will happily decorate your house with the stuffing but if this is not to your taste he also loves to chomp on 'stuffing free' toys too and anything with a squeaker.

He has also starting to understand what great fun chasing a ball is.

If Beau ever picks up something he is not allowed, he will give it up easily when asked.

Beau is fully house trained, he can’t yet ask to go out so appreciate regular access to somewhere to relieve himself.

Beau really didn’t get on with his previous male foster brother who still had his bits and pieces so his foster mum will Introduce him to a few other males to see if he is just a ladies man .

Beau is a complete love bug around all humans. Young, old, loud , quiet, he loves them all and will greet visitors with an inquisitive nose and waggy tail, but no barking. Beau has been around very young children and been a complete gentleman but perhaps due to his size school age children would be preferable .

He is extremely agile for such a big lad so gardens needs to be nice and secure and I can easily pop over a stair gate! Perhaps some agility would be good fun with a new family!

Beau does travel really well in a car and can’t wait to go on some adventures.

Beau is waiting for a loving family to take him home.

  • Not cat tested

  • Good with female dogs

  • Good with school age children due to size

  • Walks well on the lead

  • Fully house trained.

  • Will need ongoing training and an active home

  • In Foster in Suffolk

Dina's' Album

Dina- Adopted

Southampton

Dina- approx. 2 years old, spayed female, mixed breed, A medium size. Approx. 22kgs..

"This has been the hardest bio I've written so far and taken me a week to write. Dina is a beautiful dog who loves nothing more than to snuggle and is very, very affectionate. She demands cuddles from you - you will have no choice. She adores her humans and her trust and love is a beautiful gift. She is easily scared whether it is loud noises, running children, traffic or other dogs barking, but with time and rewards she will come through it. She seeks approval and reassurance and is keen to follow your lead once her trust is gained. I can remember her first night with me and she was so timid she wouldn't come close and now she would be inside my skin if she could get that close. She is such a happy little girl and her joy for life makes me smile each and every day. She melted my heart when she snuggled into my disabled son when he was having a meltdown, she was completely empathetic and I've never known an untrained dog to be that responsive to a child in need. She lives to please and deserves a home that can mirror her love as she gives so much to her humans.

She is crate trained, sleeps through the night and house trained. She can be a little excited around food, but is a quick learner and with consistency will learn what is needed of her. Fingers can sometimes get in the way when feeding so young children need to be aware that she means no harm, it is just she hasn't yet learnt that food is guaranteed.

Dina needs an understanding home as she is still learning to walk on a lead, to take treats, to trust humans, to socialise and that while she is a grown dog, it's like training a puppy. She has zoomies in the morning, after food and after toileting and she is like speedy gonzalis, but is always ready to be cuddled too. It's going to break my heart to see her leave my home but you couldn't ask for a nicer soul to share your life"

  • Not cat tested

  • Crate trained

  • Good with other dogs

  • Good with children

  • Walks well on the lead

  • Fully house trained.

  • Will need ongoing training and an active home

Dexter's' Album

Dexter- Available for Adoption

Southampton

Dexter- approx. 1 year plus, neutered male, mixed breed, A medium size. Approx. 25kgs.

Dexter has been in foster for several months after Dexter was sadly returned to the rescue after months of trying by his adopters but he and the resident dog just did not like each other and it was getting dangerous to have them in the home together.

Dexter is a 13 months old kid who is very smart and loves his cuddles and human contact, he is also very inquisitive.

Who ever becomes his new family will need to be prepared for Dexter to re- learn his position in the pack.

He is fully house trained

and knows quite a few commands like heel /wait /leave /come /sit /down /paw - he is working on his recall.

Dexter will need to be the only dog in the home due to his anxieties and is also not suitable to live with young children because he will mouth like a puppy and he loves to play rough.

Outside of the home Dexter will play with any dog and is generally submissive, never aggressive.

Dexter still has underlying anxiety, so his new owner has to be able to understand his needs and follow any advice given about boundaries and ongoing training.

Dexter will need someone who works from home or is at home a lot because he does get stressed if left for any length of time.

Dexter is an energetic boy and he requires an active home, otherwise if he will get bored and he will chew things despite the full box of toys, he can be a little destroyer and he is still an adolescent.

Dexter is not crate trained in this or previous home as this would certainly generate anxiety in him, it would have to be something that was introduced carefully.

Dexter has learned to live with a cat, so a home with a cat could be considered but a slow introduction would be a must.

This stunning boy does still have a few issues that require a patient owner that is going to be consistent with him and allow him plenty of time to settle.

  • Cat tested

  • Needs to be the only dog

  • Fully house trained.

  • Will need ongoing training and an active home

  • In Foster in Fareham

As already stated please only apply if you have thoroughly researched getting a rescue dog.

Gypsy's' Album

Gypsy- Available for Adoption

Southampton

Gypsy- approx. 3 years old, neutered female, mixed breed, A small medium size. Approx. 12kgs.

Gypsy the sweet little love bug.

Gypsy is nervous by nature, but has transformed in foster from shutdown, shaking and hiding in her crate to a dog that loves humans, gets excited when she sees you and just loves affection.

She’s fully toilet trained and will sit at the door to go out. She sleeps through the night without a peep and settles in her crate beautifully (for this reason a covered crate is essential for her). She can cry when her humans leave the house for a moment but she settles down within a few minutes.

She has so far been great with the visitors she’s met, but will retreat back to her crate if she gets scared. She gets all of her confidence from her foster fur sisters, so a home with another dog is a must for Gypsy. She will also now play with her foster siblings and likes to chase balls, and toys around. Over all she is very calm, submissive and chilled with a few bursts of energy and zoomies a day

We have been building up walks as she finds the outside world scary. She now enjoys walks in quiet areas with the help of her foster siblings so a quiet home, off a main road is needed to continue her training. She is submissive to all dogs she meets.

If you are someone who understands how traumatic it has been for a rescue dog and are prepared to continue essential work into Gypsy's confidence building you will be rewarded ten fold with this wonderful sweet girl. She really is a delight and incredibly special who learns so quickly.

Unfortunately Gypsy is not suitable to live with cats or small furries.

  • No Cats or Small furries

  • Needs another resident dog

  • Fully house trained.

  • Crate trained

  • Able to be left for a few hours

  • Will need ongoing training and an active home

  • In Foster in Southampton
